13th day of Christmas

Wow, I am tired. It is a happy, satisfied tired. It is the day after Christmas and all is quiet except for the sound of the Wii system and the hum of the dishwasher and washing machine.....

Our family had a great Christmas...mom O, Uncle Sean, Uncle Tim, The Great one, Aunt Diane, Mimi and Popi, Uncle Mike , Aunt Marynne, Danielle and Ashley. It was so nice to have everyone. Who knew there would be salsa dancing on christmas??? Our patio made a great dance floor. We all ate and drank for 48 hours straight. Joe and Ashley wrote and sang songs , Joe made a fire, mom and I were happily cooking nonstop throughout the day. It is what makes the holidays so nice.

Bash had a fantastic Christmas...Santa came bright and early a little before 6 A.M. He got everything he wanted and then some. The spiderman web shooter was the most important gift and he was really glad Santa remembered that one :) Grammy, mimi and popi and Bash's Uncles were VERY generous. Pogo sticks, transformers, games, guitars and walkie talkies that are so powerful we can reach Joe at work on them (probably another state). Everyone had fun with those and Bash.
Anyhoo to much fun to even write about and I have no more energy to write about all the great things from the pst few days.
Pics will come later...everyone has to see the dancing!

Catching up....

Let's see...it has been awhile. In the past month, we took a wonderful short trip to Orlando with our neighbors and had a blast. Hannah and Bash had so much fun...and Joe, Stephen, Patty ,and I got to act like big kids too! Thanksgiving came and went and now it is 7 days till Christmas.

Holy Crap...7 days till Christmas! Bash is in full crazy mode. He is bouncing off the walls...I am not sure if he is going to make it to the big day. If he continues to keep shaking the gifts to see what they are...everything under the tree will be broke by Tuesday. He is off of school which I am glad for because we had a cold snap and getting out the door in 40 degree weather is not my kind of fun. Although it will be 80 by Friday.

The rest of this week is full of last minute shopping for gifts, christmas dinner, and my sanity. I'm leaving the baking for my mom (she is better at it anyway :) Mimi and papi come to town on Sat. and the rest of the family will be here on the 24th.

Back to wrapping....

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Thanksgiving seemed to have snuck up on us fast this year. Bash is loving having his grandma and great-grandma here with us. Uncle Tim is over and Bash can't get enough of his "tricky ways".
I love Thanksgiving...I love cooking with my mom, yelling at great-grandma Ann to stay out of the kitchen , watching Sebastien play with his Uncle they way my brothers and I did when we were little, I love traditions...old ones and the new ones we make, I love watching my husband watch football...chilling out w/my brothers, the smell of turkey throughout the house, mom and I debating if the sales are any good, pictures of three and four generations of family still together, great-grandma Ann playing cards with Bash...I love it all.

I am Thankful for all my family and friends!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Halloween Week

This week was a busy one.....I don't remember Monday at all but Tuesday was pumpkin carving at school, Wed. was an all day celebration of Halloween and panic over Thursdays Saint Sebastian costume, then Thursday was All Saints Day.

Bash and Hannah had a great time trick or treating....so much candy that Joe, Michelle and I had to carry their loot at the end because it weighed a ton and they kept spilling it. Bash analzed evry piece of candy as he received it and gave bak the ones he didn't care for. I still think that guy in the house up front is pissed at being told his lollipops weren't that good of a treat. We think he will be giving chocolate next year!

Never thought All Saints day was a major holiday but it is at Catholic school. It was something seeing how elabrate the costumes that some of the kids were wearing. I gave up and sent Bash to school in white with a bow and arrow. (St. Sebastien was killed by arrows) I prayed he didn't shoot anyone.

Its now Friday and time for Bash's football game, skating, and the hockey game on Sat. and hopefully rest on Sunday.

Here are some pics from recent events...
sorry....i am not all that good at adding pics to the blog so just turn your head to see them:)

COUSINS

Cousin Jack came to visit last week with Aunt Suzie. We did Disney, the aquarium, and the mall. Sebastien thought it was the coolest thing to have Jack sleep in his room with him. When your an only child...that stuff really means a lot. It was nice to see them.

We got a last minute casting call Friday evening for a Sat. afternoon casting for a commercial. It was Sebastien's first "screen" test. We both had no idea what to expect but I think it went well. He was a little nervous at first but when they yelled action, he was ready. It is a commercial for Kennedy Space Center....he was the youngest boy at the casting ( i think they are looking for a kid around 7 years old) but you never know! The experience was worth it.

Now, I have to get busy on that Saint costume for Thursday!

Waiting...waiting....waiting

Bash is anxiously awaiting cousin Jacks arrival. The count down started last week and he will finally be here tomorrow after school. Disney should be a lot of fun !

Halloween Party

The Halloween Party was a success even after the drama of weather reports and moving the location. Thanks to Trisha who let us move it to her house with the 70% chance of rain that was predicted. After moving everything over there and calling everyone about the change in venue....you guessed it, no rain! But the kids had a ball and Bash was still the Director of the Party (as he liked to call himself)...but he did anoint Nicholas his C0-Director since it was moved to his house.

On another note....it is amazing how many days off the kids get at Catholic School. Bash has been off since Thursday afternoon and quite frankly I am not sure why. Probably some Saints birthday. Secretly, I like having Bash at home with me. I like not having the chaos of getting ready at the crack of dawn for preschool. I like that he can eat his breakfast at the table and not in the car as I am fighting through traffic to make it on time. And the fact that we can do whatever we want on no certain schedule is nice.

Sometime this week I have to get moving on a school project. Sebastien has to dress as a Saint for All Saints Day on Nov. 1st. Making costumes is not my strong trait. I thought we could pick St. Sebastian giving the name and all. I looked up what he was all about and it looks like St. Sebastian was the protector of the plague. I find this amusing since my Sebastien has contracted every illness from every kid in his class this year. I'll need to do some more research since I have no idea how to dress him for that.

Anyhoo- good thoughts for great-grandma Anns tests today!

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

Well...we started the week on Sunday with a little get together for Grammy's birthday....it was nice to have Uncle Tim and Grammy hang out for the day. Boy, does Bash like birthdays...especially the cake.

Monday Sebastien and I got to watch Christopher (Trisha's 10 month old son) for a few hours. It is great for both of us...we get some time to pretend we have another baby in the house. Bash pretends Christopher is his brother and I get my baby fix in but then he leaves and Bash doesn't have to share and I don't have to get up for night feedings! Anyhoo..it is fun watching him grow up. He really is so damn cute.

Tueday I helped out in Bash's classroom for a little bit. He was beside himself. Amazing at how well-behaved he is in class. His teacher has that classroom running like a well oiled machine. I wasn't sure how bash was going to be with me in there but he loved it and showed me around and introduced me to all the kids. I must admit...I loved being there!

Tonight I am looking foward to dinner with an old friend I haven't seen in a long time. It will be nice to sit and talk about things unrelated to kids and school for a little bit.

Flag Football

Bash had his first flag football game this past weekend. What a hoot watching all the kids run around trying not to get their flags pulled off. Sebastien seemed to like it and he got a touch down and then ran the other way. I think they go for six weeks...by then the kids will all get the hang of it!

We have a new addition, thanks to the Reptile Show we went to on Sat. afternoon. Bash named him Star. Not really sure why??

To wrap up an incredibly long Saturday, we went to Zoo Boo at Lowry Park Zoo with the Cribb's. Bash and Hannah had so much fun walking through the zoo at night. Sebastien even went into the haunted house that was for the much older kids with Joe and Stephen. They had a blast!

Now it's Monday and time for school, doctor and dentist appointments.

Field Trip

Bash did get the job with Pinch a Penny and we went to the shoot on Tuesday. It was a very long day but Sebastien did well and listened to all their instructions. I guess we will be seeing him in the ads staring in the spring.

We had our first field trip of the year to Publix today. The kids got to go into the coolers and eat food from the deli and bakery. At the end the kids got to ask questions to the manager. Someone asked about the balloons, one kid asked about the cakes, another kid asked about the stacks of water....
Sebastien asked...."Why do you sell wine?"

It was a proud moment.

Casting

Friday, Bash had a casting call for Pinch a Penny. It was down at a hotel in Harbour Island. He said he made the people laugh and I could hear them on the other side of the door. Maybe we will get a call....

Labor Day Fun!

We took a few extra days during Labor Day weekend and took off to Michigan. Bash couldn't wait to see Mimi and Papi and go to the park. It was a great long weekend...weather was the best it has ever been on my trips to Michigan, Bash spent the days running around outdoors, and Joe and I got to spend some time together. We all went to Guy and Anne's house for a wonderful evening of dinner, swimming, friends, and the kids roasting marshmellows. It had been such a long time since we all got together.

Now we are back to school and the daily grind...

STILL HERE

Yep...still at home sucking on icepops.....day 6.
Bash and I have watched every kids dvd we own.

Thursday, August 23, 2007

ALREADY?

Six days...six days...that is all it took for Sebastien to get the first cold/fever of the new school year. Six days into the new year and we are home sucking on ice pops, taking Tylenol, and watching T.V. all day. I think he will be out of school again tomorrow...at least we can sleep in till 7:30.

FRIDAY!!!!

We made it to Friday...the first week of school is behind us. The hardest part is getting up and getting to school on time. I have had to drag Bash out of bed in the morning (funny how he was up before 7A.M. everyday this summer) to get him ready to go. But once he is up and has had his cup of O.J., he is ready to go.

I think he really likes the school. It is very structured and Sebastien thrives off that kind of class. Ms. Rodriguez (his teacher) is very organized, neat , and likes everything in order. Bash is the same way (like Daddy)...so I think he is going to have a great year!

FIRST DAY OF 4K

Today started early, very early. Helicopters woke me up around five because of a tragedy involving a police officer in town. I tried to go back to sleep but it didn't work. Joe got up and then I figured we needed to because traffic to school would be horrible with all the police activity around town.
We did make it to school on time. Sebastien was ready to go...lunch packed in his new spiderman backpack, new sneakers, and no haircut (never did get around to that this week). I was armed with the camera....pics to come later.
Car line was insane...all of us new parents had no clue what the hell to do, so I just sat in the car until someone told me to get my kid. The lady in front of me got an ear full from the principal...I don't think she was new and the principal had no patience with her today.
I think Bash had a good day...he said he liked his teacher and had fun but was really mad at some boy in a bright blue soccer shirt. He has not stopped talking about him all evening. I guess he was in Sebastien's face during the day, making gross sounds and sticking his tongue out. Sounds like a charming kid.
Anyhoo, Bash said he wants to go again tomorrow. Can't ask for more than that.

Summer Days Are Over

It is hard to believe that summer is coming to an end. We are now doing the last minute dash to the store for additional supplies for 4K preschool. I have to learn new rules for Catholic School and figure out the carline. In 48 hours Bash and I will no longer be free to do whatever we want during the day. I know most parents love back-to-school but I am a little sad. Yes, I will be able to get my hair done, go grocery shopping by myself, clean the house, etc...but I will miss my little helper. (some days he wasn't that helpful :)

Here is a picture that sums up summer:

WHAT A WEEK

Today, Bash and I dropped Grammy off at home after staying with us for a week. She had some knee surgery that turned out just fine. Sebastien loved helping her count her reps of the exercises she had to do and playing with the walker Grammy had to use for a three days.

It has been a crazy few days with Grammy's surgery, back-to-school things to finish, and some big news at the office for Joe. Just when things seem to settle down..we get back on the roller coaster.
Since we are starting Catholic school this year ( in five days, to be exact), my main goal for the next few days will be to get Sebastien a haircut...it is out of control. (exactly the way it should be in the summer:)

FLU

Well, the stomach flu came and went within two days...thank goodness. Bash and I are climbing the walls and need to get out of the house today! Luckly, Joe wasn't infected.

Friday, July 27, 2007

Tonight it doesn't matter that Bash ate chocolate cake at 8P.M...I don't care if he stays up late "reading" his comic books....I don't care if he took a bath or not. I care that he is safe at home with mommy and daddy.

Godspeed, Will.

CATCHING UP

Well, it has been a few weeks since blogging. We are now past the 4th of July, which was alot of fun. Except for the rain, our 4th of July party was great. Joe out did himself again with the fireworks. They get bigger and better every year! We are the Griswald's of the 4th of July.

Jerry was here for the holiday weekend. Bash, Joe, Jerry, and I took a day trip to the Weeki Wachee River and rented a small boat. We got pretty lucky and got to swim with a manatee and her baby.

A conversation between Bash and his friend Nicholas that was overheard in the car:

Sebastien:" Nicholas, did your mom scream when the baby came out of her stomach?"

Nicholas: I don't know.

Sebastien: Ohh....that's what happened in the Hulk movie.

End of conversation. At least he doesn't know where they really come out of......

Beach Trip

We went to Clearwater Beach today with Nicholas, Trisha, and Christopher. I can't believe the amount of crap that has to be lugged down the beach to keep all of us happy for a few hours. Since my back has been in bad shape, Trisha took the brunt of the load.

Uncle Tim works summers at the beach when school is out and thank God for that. He got his boss to load all of us up (except Trisha who had to push a stroller through the sand) in the all-terain golf cart and drove us down the beach to the perfect spot under a cabana and next to Uncle Tims guard tower. The boys got to climb up on the tower with Tim and then on his break, he took them out on the surfboard. Sebastien thought he was very cool riding the waves and wiping out. He actually had some good balance when he stood. Little Christopher had a ball in the water and just hanging out on the blanket. We would have stayed all day except for my last minute doctor appointment.

Tuesday, June 19, 2007

Joe and I just got back from vacation for a week........we really missed Sebastien! Grammy stayed with Bash while we were gone and everything went great. They did lots of activities....the movies (Surfs Up), gymboree, swimming with Nicholas and Hannah, and they even weeded the flower beds and planted lots of beautiful flowers in pots for our patio. Sebastien taught Grammy how to cast a fishing pole. He is getting really good at casting. Not sure if we would do a whole week next year....we just missed him too much!

Sunday was Father's Day and another wonderful day. Joe and Bash caught a pretty big large mouth Bass in the lake in the backyard. They also caught a small snake on our patio. The boys went to see Fantastic Four 2 at the movies and Grammy and I cooked up dinner. Uncle Tim joined us after work and we all had a nice Father's dinner together. We almost had a visit from Galactica..........

ORLANDO TRIP, 6/2007

Well........we are all a bit tired but the trip to Orlando was awesome. Sebastien was tall enough on this trip to Disney to go on a lot more rides than before. Joe and Bash started off the fun by going on The Thunder Mountain Railroad Roller Coaster at Disney. It was Sebastien's first time on a "big kid" roller coaster and while he looked scared, he said it was so much fun! Because he could make the height restrictions this time , we all went on Splash Mountain and got pretty wet. We have now graduated to the big time rides so Fantasy Land with Dumbo and Peter Pan were not as exciting but the tradition of all those rides are something you can not miss out on.

Our hotel was beautiful, Portifino Resort in Universal Studios, and Bash loved having his own room with T.V. and we loved not having to sleep with him jumping all over us! The best thing about the hotel is that you can use your room key at Islands of Adventure and Univesal Studios to get to the front of the line. We never had to wait. The resort had a wonderful pool with a beach, lagoon and a cool water slide. Bash had a blast at the pool except he didn't like having to wear a life jacket, which was mandatory, on the slide.

I think what Joe and I will remember most was Sebastien's stunned look when he got to eat breakfast with Spiderman. Our child will talk to anyone he meets but he was so nervous around Spiderman he couldn't say to much. Spiderman signed his hat and took pics with Bash and talked to him for awhile. Sebastien did shoot a web at him. We had the most fun at Islands of Adventure. Sebastien was able to ride some pretty big rides there also.....Jurassic Park Flume ride, the water raft ride, and a rollercoaster along with a lot others. The best part was Marvel Island...that is where the Spiderman ride is and Joe and Bash went on it twice. We were actually the first people on the ride for the day. At one point, the Marvel super heroes made an entrance to the area and bash got to meet with Captain America, Wolverine, aand Cyclops! It made his day.

All in all it was a fantastic weekend. We did Disney, Islands of Adventure, Universal, and back to Islands of Adventure in two days. We were really lucky that a Tropical Storm was coming through Florida because it wasn't hot and not really crowded. After we get some rest, we can't wait to go back.
I made a mistake when adding pics so there are two of Joe and Bash getting off the roller coaster.......

COUNT DOWN

Well....we are counting down the hours at my house to Disney World ,June 2007. Sebastien has been dragging his suitcase around the house, adding toys to it. He put in his Spiderman action figure so he can take it on the Spiderman ride at Islands of Adventure. This could be Sebastien's longest day!

Here are some pics from Memorial weekend....

LAST DAY OF 3 YR OLD PRESCHOOL

Today was the last day of school. Surprisingly, Bash was not that happy about it. He really likes Mrs. Hight and all the school activities. The preschool had a party and the kids went to three different classrooms for snack , limbo, and a craft. It is hard to believe this school year is over. Trisha bought Sebastien an "end of the year" present (Spiderman bathing suit) and took him and Nicholas to McDonalds and back to her house for a swim. Great way to kick off the summer! Here are some pics from the last day.

GATORLAND

Joe, Bash and I went to Gatorland and Downtown Disney this past weekend. Gatorland is an interesting place. We fed very large alligators hotdogs and Joe and Bash got to sit on an alligator for a picture! We couldn't leave without taking the train ride around the park and a look at the snake cages. It was a great mini vacation......

Love Bugs have taken over Florida right now. A week ago Sebastien and his friend Nicholas were running from them. Even Mrs. Hight, their teacher, commented on how much they dislike them. This week, Sebastien is calling the love bugs his friends and invited a few of these bugs to come inside and live with us. It was cute for about a minute....now I am sucking up these love bugs with the vaccuum. They only good part is that Bash spends hours hunting them down with his bug sucker toy and the water gun! Cheapest form of entertainment:)

A WEEK OR SO IN REVIEW..........

Since I blogged last... we have seen Spiderman daddy and Bash loved it. I thought it was pretty cool too. It was a long movie for him to sit through but he keep telling me he wasn't scared.

Mother's Day came and went.....Sebastien had Muffins and Mothers at school which was sweet. The kids all served the muffins and juice to the mothers and then they sang songs. We got handprint flower bouquets and big cards with their pictures on it. On Mother's Day, Bash and Joe took me out to breakfast and then we did a BBQ with Grammy and Uncle Sean....it was just a nice relaxing day.

Well...the first year of preschool is wrapping up. Some may say that it is not a real school year but it sure felt like it. I did my share of volunteering, book fairs, and fundraisers. We had to get up, make up snack/lunch and get out the door by 8ish and Sebastien wore a uniform once a week. There was two teacher conferences....which went well but no homework! I think we have until first grade for that. Sebastien has really enjoyed prescool this year. Next year may be a little different. He is going to go to 4K pre-k at St. Stephen's 5 days a week for half days. I think we will both be in shock. I am ready for some fun summer days.......bring on the beach!

SPIDERMAN

Sebastien is Spiderman obsessed these days. He has been into all the Marvel comics for some time now but with the Spiderman 3 movie coming out this weekend it is getting out of control. Thanks to marketing of the movie, we now have bought Spiderman fruit chews, yogurt, three different Spiderman cereal, rice krispy treats, juice, vanilla wafers, Spiderman underwear, PJ's, hats, shirts, stickers, etc.. The have stuck Spiderman's face on anything they can sell. Why on earth can they not put a Spiderman label on bananas, carrots, lettuce, anything healthy? We would buy it and Sebastien would eat it because of Spiderman. No more trips to the store for Bash until the madness dies down.

Joe and Bash are going to see the movie on Sat. morning........Bash informed me that I would be to scared and it is only for him and daddy. Fine with me.....I'll get a pedicure.

HAPPY EASTER

We all had a wonderful Easter this past Sunday. The day started bright and early with Bash yelling about all the beans on the floor that the Easter Bunny left. He really enjoyed following the path of the jelly beans to find his basket. I am still finding eggs in the house that he didn't find.

We spent most of the day relaxing with Uncle Tim and Grammy on the new patio. Everyone helped out in picking a color to paint it. That's the project for next week.......

MIMI'S AND PAPI'S VISIT

Mimi and Papi came to visit over the weekend. It was a quick visit packed with a lot of fun! We went to the park (saw an alligator), McDonald's, the aquirium, Ybor for lunch, the mall, and to Outbach for Joe's birthday. Sebastien and Papi went on alot of bike rides. Bash is really getting good at riding without the training wheels. Although Papi says he is getting a little cocky on the bike and trying to do some stunts! Joe, Papi, and Bash took the boat out onto the lake on Sunday and did a little fishing and then we all just relaxed in the backyard. It was a wonderful weekend. We can't wait to have them down again.

NO TRAINING WHEELS!!

On Sunday, Bash learned to ride his bike without training wheels. He really did awesome! Joe held on to him for a little bit, running up and down the street, and then he was off....just like that. I thought there would be falls, skinned knees, a possible trip to the hospital, tears, but there was none of the drama I expected. It was amazing how he just took off. Joe really explained to him what to do and what to expect and he just did it. Of course I stood back, took pictures and cried. He is growing up so fast.

THE PALM TREE

Isn't it the truth that everytime you plan to get your kids pictures taken, they somehow get scratches on their faces days before. Sat. night, Bash ran head first into the rubalini palm tree in the backyard. We were having a lovely little evening hanging around the fire talking with the Cribb family when Bash went running from Hannah, looking backwards, and BAM! His face is all scratched up and he has a swollen lip from the thorns that were stuck in it. Boy, did it hurt! I am glad he didn't have a allergic reaction to it because the toxin in the plant stings bad enough! He is going to look pretty rough for awhile. So much for a relaxing evening.......

FYI........dental floss is flammable.

ANOTHER INTERESTING TRIP TO COSTCO

Turning 4 years old has been a very big deal for Sebastien. He feels that he is now a big boy and anyone who is 3 or under is a baby and that he (Sebastien) is superior to them. So today when we were shopping at Costco and a man who was near us, jokingly, was calling his own son a baby, Sebastien had a few words to say to him. Bash thought the man was calling him a baby, so he loudly told the man, "I'm not a baby...your a big baby daddy." To which the man apologized and said that he wasn't talking to Bash and just joking with his son.
Then the son called Bash a baby and I really thought a brawl would break out in the middle of the clothing section. Thank goodness each of them were confined to the cart. Now Bash was a little pissed about being called a baby so he tried his hand at name calling, which he isn't very good at. He called the kid a cart, goggles, and a beer. The dad and his son looked confused and I was embarrassed. I did tell Bash it is not nice to call each other names and then just got the hell out of there.

1st Field Trip

Sebastien went on his first field trip today to Publix. It was suppose to be an educational trip about the workings of a grocery store. I thought he would have loved it but he wasn't impressed. This probably has to do with the fact that since he was three weeks old, he has been to Publix every Friday morning with me. He wasn't to happy that he didn't get to pick out a cookie, take home a balloon, and ride in the race car shopping cart. Maybe we will go to Winn Dixie next time!

VALENTINE'S DAY

Happy Valentine's Day.........we had such a nice lunch today with Hannah and Patty, Nicholas and Trisha (Christopher too!), and Bash and I. We all celebrated Valentine's Day together. The kids gave each other little presents, ate a lot of candy, made cards, and had peanut butter and jelly, heart shaped sandwiches. Patty made us a great taco salad! If my dinner turns out wonderful tonight for Joe and I...it will be a perfect Valentine's Day.

HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY

Sebastien turned 4 years old on Saturday! He just couldn't wait to be four years old. Bash had his birthday party at Pump it Up in Brandon. I was so glad we did it there because he did invite a lot of friends. Bash's special gift from daddy was a Thor action figure. His smile while opening it was priceless.

Joe spent Friday night watching the Lightning lose while he decorated Sebastien's birtday cake. It will be something Bash and I will never forget. He made it into an Avengers cake especially for Sebastien and it turned out awesome! Grammy and I spent Friday night putting together 30 gift bags for the party goers. Thank goodness for Grammy's help.

All in all it was a great success...........now on to Easter..

Super Bowl Sunday

It seems that Sebastien is starting to feel a bit better after being stuck home for seven days with a really bad cold/ear infection/fever. Yesterday was the Super Bowl and Uncle Tim came over to watch the game with us. Hopefully Bash didn't get him sick seeing how he spent the entire evening jumping all over Tim. I think Bash was so happy to see someone other than Joe and I. Tomorrow he goes back to school after being out all last week. I don't know if he is excited but I sure am!

LITTLE STAR

Well, I was walking around Walmart last Thursday trying to find some goggles (we were suppose to go to Westin, Fl to see Aunt Judy) and to my surprise I see Sebastien's face on the package of swim floats and tubes. I was pretty amazed and yelled " Holy crap, that's my son!" at some lady stocking the shelves with the package that bash's face was on.

When we took that modeling job their was a 50/50 chance he wouldn't be on anything (there were a bunch of kids having their pic taken too), so it really did take me by surprise that he is on the packaging. I also didn't know that walmart carried that brand.

When Bash saw the picture he just laughed and said " Mommy, remember when we went swimming in that pool and I couldn't get my hair wet?" Pretty funny...

NOT TO BAD!

A little fact about Sebastien.....he doesn't like pizza. Never has. We go to birthday parties often where they always have pizza and Bash just sits and waits for the cake while every kid around him eats pizza. I honestly do not know any child or adult who doesn't like it except Uncle Sean when he was a kid.
So anyway, the other night Joe and I ordered pizza for ourselves and Sebastien decided to join us at the table. After five minutes he wanted a piece so I gave him one...I figured he would just squeeze the grease out all over the table and be done with it. To our surprise he took a big bite , looked at Joe and said, "not to bad, Dad." Then ate half of a slice proclaiming it was "not to bad" while rubbing his stomach.

He may be becoming a little more daring with food this month because on Sunday he asked for eggs and again let us both know that they were "not to bad." (he hasn't eaten eggs since he was two) I am glad he is coming out of the picky 2 and 3 year old stage.

Look Who's Coming for Dinner!

Sebastien has a new favorite place to eat lately. Nope, not McDonald's, not Burger King, not even the Mall.........it is my next door neighbor's house. It is no secret that Patty (my neighbor) can cook very well. Heck, I like eating there also. But I don't think she does anything different to her hotdogs and chicken nuggets then I do. Actually that is a lie....her hotdogs are fried, mine are nuked. I like having lunch at her house on hotdog days.
Everyday for the past week or so Sebastien wants to go over to Patty's around 4:30ish.....to eat dinner...and maybe even a bath. (yes, a bath is better over there too...it might be the lotions) Anyway.....it has gotten to the point were we can't visit them after 3 p.m. or I can't get him out of her house. Last night after Bash ate dinner at home , he asked for a treat. Skittles to be exact........hmm...I wonder....

Circus Time

On Sunday, Sebastien, Hannah, Patty, and I went to the circus at the forum and had a wonderful afternoon. We were the only ones in the suite, which made it even better! I was surprised we made it out of the circus with only having to buy one box of popcorn.....the kids didn't even put up a fight for the light-up, spinning toy! Sebastien's favorite part was the cannonball at the end and Hannah loved every minute of it! Can't wait till the next event.

Close Quarters

Hard to believe it is Jan. 2007 already. The last six days Bash got to spend a lot of time with his cousin Jack who is 2 1/2 years old. It was nice seeing them play together and laugh together. I think it was a little strange for both of them to be together for six days because both are the only child in their homes.....but luckly they shared pretty well. It was an exhausting week for all of us (Joe, Suzi, Mimi, Papi and me) but I was so happy that everyone came down and spent time with each other......and Joe and I got to know our nephew Jack much better :)
