Christmas 2006

Well......we all survived christmas of 2006. It was such a great two days of family, food, and fun! Sebastien did get that firetruck he wanted so badly from Santa...he hasn't rode on it yet because it has been raining for two days, but he does love to sit in it and watch T.V.
The filet mignon might have been a bit too salty and the turkey a little dry (thanks to the sink problem) but we all enjoyed each others company. Thanks to eveyone! It was a wonderful Christmas!

Santa Came to Town!

Last night, Joe , Bash, and I went over to our neighbors (the Cribbs) so that Bash and Hannah could exchange christmas presents. Bash got a new race car set, robot, and clothes...he was very excited! (I put together the race car set at 7 a.m. the next morning...thanks,Patty!) They were playing with there new toys when the doorbell rang. Hannah and Bash opened the door to find Santa Claus....he came to check up on them and brought them each an early present. For once, they were pretty quiet and shocked. But then Sebastien asked Santa if he brought any presents. They each got to sit on his lap and tell Santa what they wanted.
I am hoping now that Santa knows where we all live , Bash will be extra good till Christmas morning!

First Christmas Program

Today was Sebastien's christmas program at school. There is nothing more funny than three year olds on a stage singing christmas songs. I thought Bash would be a little shy up there singing because the room was full of moms, dads, and grandparents...boy was I wrong. Mrs. Hight (his teacher) thought maybe Sebastien strained his vocal cords because he was singing so loud. Sebastien's best buddy, Nicholas, was right next to him singing and dancing along. Can't wait to pull out the video of this when the boys get older. This was a memory I hope to never forget!

Crazy Holidays

The christmas chaos has really begun. I love it! This week includes one breakfast with Santa, a trip to Disney World, Bash's first school christmas program, two christmas parties, one hockey game, and my birthday. All before Sunday. We are building our second gingerbread house in a week because while I was trying to get Bash to pick up the 100 pieces of candy he dropped all over the floor, I put my elbow through the first gingerbread house and destroyed it. This did not go over well with Sebastien, so we are trying it again.

It is a good thing Santa is getting Sebastien a very large firetruck. He has now told the Santa at the mall, the Santa at the Lightning party, and the Santa at the breakfast, that he needs a big firetruck and that is all he wants. Nothing else. I am glad because it has made shopping much easier this year!

Candy Canes

Candy Canes are Sebastien's new favorite food. Do you know how many different kinds there are? We have the original (red and white), Disney , Lifesaver, green, Spongebob, peppermint, chocolate flavor, etc....
It is funny how kids get fixated on one thing. The thing of the month is seeing how many different boxes of candy canes we can buy, hang on the christmas tree, and then eat.
